Email on Hotmail...

Anyone else got problems getting into there hotmail email? I am signed into messenger but cannot get into my emails no matter what link I am using....bit worried bout a virus infecting my emails that I was sent yesterday!

also, clear out your cookies.

MS have implemented some next .net thingee that messed my work computer up tothe point where I couldn't even point to www.hotmail.com

but I cleared me cookies and am off to the cyber races.

if you access your email from the same computer most of the time as well, you may want to consider setting up a mail program like outlook express to check your hotmail for you. hotmail is prone to go down on the web based version. outlook express walks you through accessing a hotmail account.

You can't get viruses onto your computer from hotmail coz its webbased... they scan all files... any viruses sent affect hotmail not your computer...

here's the instructions for outlook express. outlook does not support a direct configuration for accessing hotmail, but there is a workaround. the first link is for outlook express, the 2nd link is the workaround for outlook.

also, if you're using outlook 97 or 98, you're screwed. it won't work. only in 2000 and later.
