Well, I got my local message board to start a 2-Step forum for the local heads. For the most part, the people here in Vegas are somewhat turned-off by the silky smooth RnB remixes at first...they consider it cheesy, simplistic, even "gay." I tend to disagree, but I want to help them find what they're looking for. People are starting to take interest, but I've got to feed that fire before it burns out.
Aside from www.dubplate.net, I do not really know where to find the dark, twisted, breakbeat side of Garage on-line. Any recommendations you have for info and sound sites, please send them my way. I know it is easier to be in the UK in person and be involved in the underground. But living in the western United States, we are geographically limited in that respect.
Just like with Hip Hop, it is difficult for those outside of the culture to find the real underground $$$$. How many of you in the UK have head of DJ Babu, J-Rocc, Peanut Butter Wolf, Quasimodo, Da Grouch, Mystik Journeymen, Heiroglypics, Company Flow, Medina Green, etc? It seems like many Brits I talk to are convinced the only thing Hip Hop has to offer is Puffy, DMX, Ja Rule, Mystikal, Wu Tang, and Eve.
So you see where I'm comin' from. Lend a hand to the US fans and help us dig up your underground. We will REALLY appreciate it..and someday it might earn you a free vacation in a nice warm place like Las Vegas or Miami.
While I'm here, it's only fair that I give you a good place to buy underground Hip Hop, if you are interested. Check out:

PEACE.
