I Love You has been getting played on Deja and Rinse for months, however the chart works in-conjunction with the peeps behind the single, and the timing of the chart entry is to co-inside with the pressing of the track. Dizzy + Sharky Major's collaberation is also pretty heavy, rumour has it Universal are chasing his signature.

it's really sad when charts get judged by the expiration date of the dubplates on them.

really, charts should be more realistic. i think a buzz chart should coincide or just precede full releases of hot tracks.

i think a chart of nothing but acetates shouldn't be called a buzz chart, it should be called a high chart....because you're high if you think you're gonna get any of these plates before someone calls them dry and old!

no disrespect to you logan.....but it's really tired. i'd love to get my hands on some of the freshest plates within the first 2 weeks that EZ drops them.....but i don't want them that bad, if they end up being dry and not quite so memorable 2 months from now. i'd much rather drop a tune from 6 months ago that is closer to a classic status in terms of production value than boast about my dubplates Born On Date......

elitist garage heads demand that a garage record have a shorter shelf life. and let's face it, though i don't like the concept....far too many records released these days don't deserve to have much of a shelf life anyway. so i guess it almost balances out in the end.

it ain't about how soon you get the plate, but what you do with it once you have it.

Last week it was judged "from an a&r point of view" rather than when tracks are going to press.

Realistically it is based on when you find out about the tunes.

Not that I am having a go.

    Respect

i recognize your critique of the chart then. and i can agree with you as well. there is a difference in some records as to when the plates are floating about, long or loud enough to warrant making an appearance on a buzz chart before they are actually released. for some records, that time is measured in weeks, for others, it's measured in months. you probably know this more than many.
