Sorry, can't say that I've been waiting for either of the tracks...

I think it's the bassline and the lack of palpable swing, but the tracks sound kinda lifeless/uninteresting...the dry sample in nexlevel really doesn't help. You've added a very non-personable "human" element.

The basslines - sound is okay, but the speed and tone of it are just plodding along; not very lively to be honest...try some more variation of the sound/structure to breathe some life into it - reefaman's bline switch up is better.

Need some sort of off key hits, chords - something to make this a little more musical. And some more human human elements
.
There's no soul, no slinkiness, no sexiness to them. They are very anti-Garage as I personally like it - but that's just my opinion. No swing, no skip, no life in the beats - inject a little swing into it, and it will do wonders.

Likely though, MCs will like the tracks for these very reasons...So, while I wouldn't buy them, in today's MC driven market, who knows? They're sparse enough and simple enough to flow over without too much difficulty.

All in all, reefaman is the better track. Better vocal sample, better bline.

Sorry to be soooo constructive...

yeah, as breakbeat, it's a different ball of wax.

I wouldn't really call it breakbeat - its far more of a two step beat.

Personally I can't stand tunes like this - but I hate all the musical mob/speakerbox type tunes - I just find them dull and uninspiring.

But, a lot of people seem to like them so it would probably do quite well

The reefaman track sounds a lot better - it has far more of a musical presence rather than just a beat and a bassline

Reefaman - I can see what kind of thing you've gone for - it's essentially not bad, I don't like that snare sound or the structure of the hats but that's just me being picky. It drops pretty standard, but you never know, EZ could pick it up and it would sell - not really my type of thing but it's got that flava that could shift it, good luck with it.

Dimension - I actually think this is better produced than the other, until it drops - don't like that bass pattern at all, up till then it's not bad.

Your making simple tracks and your effectively satisfying the market your aiming at, can't argue with that.

No offence but these are just utter plop, the kind of thing Dave @ City Sounds would pass to you and say "yeah, this ones heavy"

They wouldn't make it into my bag I'm afraid

right the first one has a good intro - the sample is looped mayb a bit too much but i like the beat - the bass sample is ok but the note's dont change pitch enough as the line as a whole sounds to drone like and monotonous but im sure u can fix this - at the mo this is just too boring im afraid which is a shame cos u dont well on the samples and a the beat
improve bass and u will b on a 6 or 7/10

the flip is slightly beta - i like the intro but mayb turn the explosion down a bit - its louder than the rest - i love the tune tho - quite a good melody - good sampling and the effects are quite cool - sounds very professional, however i dont like the bass before the drop on its own and im not feelin the bass - mayb ur beats need to b doing more if the bass is so basic i duno but that is where u need to improve mate ok

big up tho - chek my intro ok
