It's a pretty slick little package The instrumentation is nearly perfect - right amount of smack, grit, and bounce to make it a winner.

This is a much better mix than the last version that I heard! Much more effective mixing and more vocal presence. Can we get a bit more "power" and "oomph" behind the vocals?

Perhaps strip down elements even more during verses? It should have more emphasis/forwardness on the vocals...it's still a tad busy and the focus gets lost...

Good on ya J!

Excellent vocals Gabz!

fastlance> u go on about those pre-made loops,why ?
No1 uses premade loops, premade loops are for little kids that are starting out with musicproduction.

apart from the main snare hit, i like it.

the vocal production is pretty damn tidy.

just heard the middle 8. some of the vocals sound a tad out of tune on the first bit

but still a nice tune.

ditto to wot shermon said apart from i like that snare. nice track!
u may wanna get rid of some of the rolled snare and scratch to put some more emphasis on the vox like sen said.

Lance, it's likely not premade loops, as Lady J is rather talented and she would die before using prefab loops.

And yeah, I agree with Shermon re: the middle eight tuning...it's most likely the ad libbing that's out of tune, or messing with the tune.

Runs are hard to work with, cause they go in and out of tune.

May be better to lose them.

I pretty much agree with sen. There is a LOT of beauty in this track. You two did a great job on the collab especially divided by however many thousand miles.

Some additional comments:
It takes a while to get to the chorus for a pop song, if that's the direction. As well as I didn't know what the chorus was for real until the second time through. I thought the silence/flanged vocal drop into the second chorus set it off nice, maybe do something like that the first time through to say: "Here's the chorus". And Sen is right to suggest simplificaton of the verses.

The bridge is a little off compared to the rest of the track.

Good writing on the vocals. I'm guessing it was Gaby. You keep it going, sista. Maybe one day we'll get around to doing something, too.

Big up to both of you.
