Default Remix - [MC Ryder] - Island Records

a RM clip of a remix i just did for Island Records, the act is MC ryder.

If you DJ and have a known name, contact Island Records on 0208 910 3333 and ask to speak to Chris Rock.. for a promotional copy.

Click here to listen MC ryder produced by Jess Jackson.

Another latino infused number eh? JJ likes summer too much, maybe its your hair (jus kiddin, calm )

I'm not sure about the MC but it might go down well on a nice summer rave at Tenerife or Napa, he sings well at least. Good job.

Alright jj bruv, yeh nice track, aint my type of thing but its a good track,

Oi boss i ahev added you to my msn i need to chat to you very important...safe

But again nice track,mc-ing ummm no no............get flirta or ultra up and coming mc's they would wreck this,

Just a suggestion if you speeded up the track a bit mroe and try and go for a decoy feel and speed up vocals a bit mroe and just fuk bout with them using eq and distort them a bit mroe it could cum a ruff track

thanks for the positive feedback for those who gave it... for those telling me to change things... make your own music... if you want it pitched up then buy a copy and pitch it up on your 5 bob record player.

nah, i dont mind constructive critisism at all bro, but its not much good when the tracks finished and mastered in the way that i wanted to finish it, its 135 bpm and as far as i am concerned thats fast enough for garage. Thats the fastest tempo i have ever written a garage track at and i wouldnt go any faster, it would sound lame.

As for the MC, This track isnt my full production, this is a remix i have done of a commercial track that Ryder has written and I was contracted to do the mix.

What did you do it on JJ? I kinda like it, but I can never judge anything when it's on real or MP3. Any chance you could send me a CD?

The only things I can say are that the track has good beats and the guitar riffs are nice. The bass I can't judge because real audio leaves none of that in tact.

I do kinda think that the pizzicato string thing sounds well dated now. Also the delays are a bit overkill perhaps and the whole structure of the track is a little flat.

Don't take these criticisms badly though. I'm only being honest as I like people to be to me.

It's not bad mate, not really my kinda tune but I'm sure this would go down well in a 1st Leisure club like Blue Orchid, Works, Kudos etc.

I hate when people say "can't you pitch it up".

They end up making music at 141 BPM.

Can't get more than 24 seconds to stream, so I can't really give a thoughtful critique.

I like the melody / bass / vocals etc. but I've never been a big fan of tracks with those type of beats, its just a quirky thing I guess ... nothing personal Mr J but I like my beats really simple 2 step stylee ... I'm sure you understand what I mean!!

ps. nice track
