Default Old Skool 4x4 Track! Feed Back Needed

As some of u may know from other tracks I have posted here, I usally do grimy tracks, Im now trying to make old school garage...

I have a track done... Its not finished yet, but i would like some feed back on what I have done so far...

Its kind of an Old Skool bouncy 4x4 almost house sort of track if that makes sence

Sorry its in MP3, I had to format recently and I dont have the program to convert it into rm at the moment

http://www.zero-productions.co.uk/track.mp3

let me know what u think people, good or bad comments...

Thanks

You can use Soundforge to Convert to RM. Open your file in Soundforge, Then Go File>Save As> Then click on "Save as type" and choose Real Media.

Anyway, to the tune! I like the organ sounds. Not sure about the HiHats though. It may just need a sample change but its the Open hats. Also it maybe needs More Shuffle. put it at 100%.

These comments are just my personal view.
Other than that not bad at all. Keep at it

What Software / Hardware do you use?

Right ok im going to sound like I have no idea what im doing now, but what is shuffle?

Well at the moment I just use FLStudio4 lots of VST and Lots of soundfonts.

But my sisters b/f has a studio (a very very nice studio ) but its had some problems recently, but as soon as its back up im going in there with him to make some nice old skool tracks!

Cheers for the feed back mate, oh and nice one about soundforge!

Whats shuffle? nah only jk mate, you wont know until you ask!

In FL Studio, if you look at the top right corner of the main sample thingy it says either "shuffle" or "Swing" ( i cant rember which)and has a slider that goes left to right. move this all the way to the right (100%) for 4x4 and at about 85% for 2 step. Trust me you will hear the difference! Shuffle is one of the main things that makes 4x4 garage different to house.

Make up a simple 4x4 beat like the one below and make sure you use closed hats and Open hats. (Closed hats go one step before open hats every 8 steps) without the closed hats you wont be able to hear the shuffle....

Leave the shuffle at 0% and listen to the beat a few times. Then stop playing the beat and put the shuffle to 100% and play it. see the difference?

If your Sisters bf has got a proper studio ask him about shuffle coz he'll probably be able to tell you more about it than me.

(Note: the shuffle is not at 100% in my screenshot below but ignore that coz i forgot to move it up when i did the screenshot)
