I think I'd get a second opinion mate, sorry. I listened to the Pitch Black one which the bass is too messy, it's too hard to cut a rumble bass so quickly and get an effective sound. The Girls town one aint bad but I hate those sounds you've used for the beats, Wyze packs? The bline aint bad, try and get some uniformity to the tracks, there's too long without beats. As for the Mario one, it's nothing but pure techno house mate, sorry.

You seem to have a theme in your tunes where the beats just aren't there - why do you keep cutting them out? Sample some new sounds too cos the ones you use are proper budget, keep away from the Wyze packs for effective beats.

Sorry to sound harsh but if you released these I don't see many shops or labels taking it, doubt you'd sell past 200 if your lucky.

ok trilogy

it seems you arnt listening to the kinda tunes what are
sellin 2000 plus at the moment

pitch black has energy very similar 2 jaws in my opinion
and everyone loves jaws

basically if i was you darkstar play it to some record
shops or send it to labels and watch them echo what
im sayin about pitch black, there is with out a doubt a market
for your tune, and basically just ignore the
rubbish which trilogy is talkin and play it to the people who count

trilogy my advice 2 you is to go to dubplate.net
and hear the latest releases, most very boring darker
bline tracks, but yet i spoke 2 the guy at essential
and hes saying the tunes on dubplate.net essential sell $$$$ loads of.

Topsta bruv, how many of those tunes on dubplate.net sell? The majority of those are pants, they don't get put up because they are decent, they get put up because the site receives the records free. I just went thru all the latest records and there were only about 2 decent tracks - that's the nature of things.

That tune is nothing like Jaws e.g. no coherant melody, beats are pants and the bassline is far too agressive and out of control.

I'm not asking you to agree with my opinion but if you ask for one you'll get it. Feel free to take a CD to record stores and labels and see what they say.

So in essence you've just said this geeza's tune is rubbish? Maybe it will sell, but if all you give a shít about is that, then fair enough - it would be the some of the worst produced garage released ever and I'd be disappointed if it sold.

From my point of view I'd rather release something of true quality - it's not about releasing the first decent concept you come across without any ideas of how to make tunes. Compare that to any decent garage tune and you will see yawning differences, don't believe me just go and ask an engineer.

Constructive criticism doesn't bother me at all !

At least you've been honest Trilogy, big ups anyway.

I actually produce these tracks according to what today's market is into, Narrows, Platinum 45 have have an influence on a few tracks, and one of them was influenced by musical mob. (hope this answers your question about Narrows Craig ! - I'm a fan definitely)

I actually work in an office which does distribution, management and also runs a few record labels so I know how the business works, perhaps this isn't something that other record labels would be interested in, but that's cool anyway cos they'd be coming out on my own label - so that i am completely in control of them.

Some of these will be getting pressed soon regardless of what peeps think.

Trilogy - as for you saying it might sell just over 200 copies - the way the garage record sales are going at the moment would mean I would have done well to sell that many tunes.

Even records made by big time producers don't sell that much at the moment.

As for production quality - I understand ya, perhaps they're not amazing quality, but you can't expect much else from tunes made on fruityloops. Production quality isn't important anymore anyway - just ask the Musical Mob who are probably sitting at home counting their money from sales of their track which was made on a bloody playstation !

Cheers for the feedback though everyone, I ain't annoyed at you - I just wanted you to know that I know what i'm doing in this business, I'm not rushing into this at all, the mario track was made some 4 months ago !

Keep the feedback coming tho peeps ! whether you like it or not, just let me know cos all feedback is appreciated !!

Big Up Topsta and Mistic Ad for backing me up on this !! - Nice one lads !

Glad to see your not taking what I say the wrong way bruv...but the thing is, just because something like Musical Mob wasn't made with any particularly high level of quality, it was the pure essence of the tune + pushing from certain names that made it. Same with Bedingfield - very simple production and it hit number 1. I guess you've just got to ask yourself - are your tracks on the same level of either of these two? I'd say no, and I'd say wait at least until you have been producing a bit longer to understand why these tracks are poor. Good luck all the same.

hmm mate

when i first heard musical mobs tune
i was like "what kinda piss taking production is this"
then i heard it couple times
and now im gettin down 2 it

but first time i heard pitch black
i thought yeh
big tings

and no i aint sayin that darkstas tunes are rubbish
all i was asking u 2 do was compare it to whats selling

but at the end of the day trilogy
this little debate where having comes down 2 opinions
and the differences in the way we think
thats all

but with out a doubt there is room 4 this tune
the bass heads will snap it up
