Default My most recent mix

I whipped this off in one take on a recent Saturday afternoon. I'm going to order some newer tunes and record a demo CD in the next month or so. Any advice/criticism is welcome.

That's Justin Fry and Brian Johnson featuring Mr. Whoosh, from the Breakbeat Science EP on 02 Recordings. Is it too ruff & tuff for you this early in the morning?

tendo, the mix was nice and clean - not my personal choice for selection (bit too breaky - where have all the vocals gone?) but a nice mix nevertheless!

ACID: Sorry, man. Didn't mean to hit u with it twice. I know some people can't download those huge mp3 files, so after my friend deleted them from his server, it seemed like I should post the mix in Real Audio format so the slower connections could peep the mix for me too. Next time I'll post all formats at the same time to avoid any further confusion.

Sen: I hear ya. I made this mix as something American Junglists might like. Many of them have told me those vocal tunes sound too "gay." (Obviously some personal issues with their own manhood.) In my opinion, a mix like this could really use an MC, but I don't know who the hell would do it around here! I promise my next effort will have more sweet'n'sassy vocal/RnB choonz mixed in with the breaks, because it's gonna be all about what I like & not about converting Junglists. Stay tuned...and thanks 4 listening!!!

One question, although it is a wiked EP why mix tho whole Breakbeat Science EP at the beginning.

Mixing is clean and tight

I love the Breakbeat syle of things, keep it up bro

Oli- I figured my target audience (see previous post) wouldn't even know the difference and I'm probably correct about that. Besides, they were 4 easy to mix songs, so it helped me get warmed up before I had to really think about WTF I was doing. *lol* I just LOVE Bring Da Noise (one time for the fog horns!). Those are four good choonz, but I know a real 2-Stepper would call me on it (like u did!).

djt, alot of GOOD jungle emcees can make the switch over to heavy breaks stuff (@ about 140) but some have trouble making the full switch to soulful garage. i'm still looking for a ragga banton vocal sample to throw over a break stepper that I'm workin on. good luck converting those jungle heads, they're tuff. try the house heads in your area with the soulful stuff, they dig that

oh, and btw, good mix!
