Default Instrumental of a Remix i working on..

http://eric.dodman.users.btopenworl...Battlin1inst.rm

It should work. This is one of the versions of this tune i've done (i'm doing a few then picking the best, or rather the original artist is).

This DOESN'T contain the vocals for obvious reasons (well, not the full vocals anyway)

please comment. (Quite Important really!)

Thanks

Dezz...the rez line sounds kinda hollow...

the pizz could be duller and more back in the mix.

need more beef under the bline...some weight...right now, all of the weight is coming from the strings (which need some treatment as well...a verb)

Wishing for a drop bass to punctuate things.

get some dubby delay on the pizz stabs and booooooom

i like the arrangement a lot...the above is just me being picky.

Oh, during the 1/2 time thing where the snares are really prevalent...add echo for extra dried fish tastiness

good work!

yeah, sen i totally agree with needing more beef over the bassline. it doesn't really impact u enough.

i was thinking of puttin a drop bass in the breakdown, jus before it drops, i've got a pretty good one and have been itching to use it

and dubby delay..well i will try that

thanks dudes..

the strings sounds are quite nice, they just need a littlelayering and vary the velocity on the notes so they feel better, not keen on the horns they sound too puny.

beats nice, like all the crash sounds etc.

i do like the horns when there played on there own, they seem to fit nice there. maybe you could just take them out and just have that solo bit.

like all the vocal bits there all nice.

like that clap sound, thats the best part of the beat in my opinion.

like the musical aspect of it all too, very catchy, gets a bit repetative after about 2 minutes but this is a battle track so guess that dont matter. The overall arrangement of the track has helped in a big way to keep it interesting which is good.

either way this track is much better than other stuff i've heard in this genre. big up.
