Default I'm back with a new track....

Aint been on here for ages. Mainly coz I've been too busy working.

Anyway here's a new track I've been working on - its sort of a 4/4 garage/house hybrid as it contains elements from both genres

Check it out:

very confusing train wrecky break, with lil shuffled drums and straight quantised bongo, but anyway....

drum fill in intro was too weird, it wasnt a fill, it was like a random thing..a complete change in break...

ok onto the riffs sound all out of key...they sound uncoherent and jus random, they dont progress the tune along, they aint pleasing on the ear - they actually sound purposely UNtuned, like some vampire b movie.

and this isnt garage at all. save the break, fix it up and you can use it in another HOUSE (not garage) track.

hmm, not bad mate but im afraid i agree with the majority the stabs sound like oldskool hardcore and the break doesn't have any real feeling, its nice but it doesn't have any feeling, my girlfriend says its not that bad but shes sitting here rubbing strawberries on her face claiming its good for her skin so im getting kinda worried, especially as we dont have any whipped cream in the house.

the bit at 1:10 is quite nice but it still lacks rythem, maybe get rid of some of those bongos and put some proper chords in there.

it sounds a bit like hand bag house to me.

dam just get rid of those stabs geezer, you need to get your macerana on and come up with some new $$$$.

Stylus one of the veteren producers on this site, one who never fails to impress me. I like it mate, it's bubbly and gives me nostalga, I feel like I know the tune already.
The break at 2:40 is a little out of place, but can be easily fixed.

Dj's imagine cutting and mixing this tune, it would be phat.

Stylus listen to Shermon Jones's 4 floor tune, you two should hook up together, and do side of a record each, seriously.

Big up, nice to see you back...............what you working 24/7 a week or something mate..................

no offence, but the last thing this needs is more elements crammed into the overcrowded mix. At this point, sorry to say, but adding more to this would really be polishing a turd (it never gets clean). I say start over. Sorry. Nice try tho. try and be clear what genre/direction ur aiming for: 4/4 ukg? house? hardcore?

I was inspired to make this tune after listening to OT Quartet - Hold that sucker down. I just love the way the tune builds up and up.

I think I'll just try to be more orginal rather than simply emulate old tunes
