Default how do you make a soca beat?

you know like what agent x use?

can you explain using my diagram replace x's with o's to show how i would program it in a drum matrix

kik xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/xxxx
snare xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/xxxx
hh xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/xxxx

lol...like 4/4 is SOOOO original

Soca beat has it's place.

As does 4/4

As does 2-step

As does whatever

Use a beat pattern that suits the song...don't just set off to make a Soca beat song cause everyone's doing it...(not that they are, really...)

oldskool 4/4 and oldskool 2 step usually have music over it , socabeat usually has a mess pasted ontop a la Agent X (decoy, beenie man and janet remix), a la 2001, a la 2002...

the beat has nothing to do with the musical style on top...or it doesn't necessarily have to.

Sen, you've got your head screwed on proper mate. Fair play! Like you said, every style of beat has it's place. By the way AG, you once told me that Decoy was alright - and there's you dissing it on here now. I get the impression that you're very narrow minded when it comes to musical tastes. I think you've taken the whole Old v Nu Skool debate a little too far. It's really got to your head hasn't it?
