Default GoodVibes EP - Comments Pls

Just wondered what you thought of a few tracks I done. They are comin out on an EP later this year so keep an eye out.

Goodvibes: pnm://www.lambertr.karoo.net/GoodVibes.rm

Keep On: pnm://www.lambertr.karoo.net/KeepOn.rm

Set Free: pnm://www.lambertr.karoo.net/SetFree.rm

SemiSonic: http://www.lambertr.karoo.net/Lockdown.ram

All these are unfinished versions because I havent had chance to upload the completed .rm files.

What you think?

Peace

I love EPs...I'd rather buy 4 different tunes than 1 tune with 4 remixes (of which I'd usually only play one) and this is no exception!

BTW, very aptly titled EP! I was bouncing away for a good 15 minutes

Good Vibes: Interesting bassline, loving the off beat 2nd half of the pattern! That kills it! Nice head noises above the vocals. Drums are solid. Like the different pitched snares/claps whatever that are doubled up. Dunno about that "check this out sample" - kinda makes things a bit cheesy I could TOTALLY hear a 1/2 tempo dubbed out blunted beat section stuck in this with the vocals all stretched out and cut up....DO IT!!!!

Keep On: Loving the sax line after the main vocal snippet - minimal and effective. Bline is a great jam, and then the off key stabs come in for full effect. Nice breathing/well paced/spaced mix!

Set Free: interesting sounds, definitely. Gets moving onces the bass kicks in, but even then I'm wondering if it takes too long to develop. I like the quirky beats, but wondering how they sound in the mix...

SemiSonic: Bumpin! Feeling this! Has a very tuffjam feel to it. Like pretty much everything about it.

Overall, some great work...I'm sure it's the rm files and the fact that they haven't been mastered, but there's a not a lot of sparkle on these yet. Brighten up the mixes and try to lose the hollow-ness and you're sorted!

Where are the vocals from, btw? For some reason they all sound similar.

Save me a copy!

Chees guys, like I said these tracks have been professionally mixed down by a good friend of mine so expect to hear much better quality on the vinyl.

Gotta speak to the label but the EP should be in the stores within a couple of months, ill keep you updated.

lol Solo!...

Im with framp on this, i wanna free copy... .. anyways

Goodvibes ::: Tunes heavy... like the beats, the bit where the vocals are chopped up, heavy!.. definatly get played enough by myself!... dont you worry bout that!

Keep On ::: Really like the effects on this one, and liek Sen said, the Sax line kills it!... wicked bassline & heavy beats!

Set Free ::: Beats sound ok, not too sure on those. nice melody in the background, although towards the beginning, theres a very tinny sweep thingy, and its kinda hurting my ears ... but the basslines wicked!

SemiSonic ::: Like the beats, reminds me kinda of "the wideboys - westside" loop. The bassline is nice & deep! Nice & bumpy!

Overall, some very nice tunes... if i see it in my local shop, its goin straight in the bag!.. believe!
