yeah man not bad

how did you record it? i dont know what software you're using, but if you were able to record all the parts (guitar, drums, vocals) sepourately, you'd probably get much better results. it would mean you could control the levels of each instrument individually.

show us some more!

Default ah haa

We did record it seperatly but unfortunately because it was in a concrete room we had to do the drums first which then causes a problem , the reason it was done this way is to keep all the noise away from the mic's

Another reason is that we did not have a good enough set of head phones that i could use to heart guitars over the drums.

We now have a good set and are looking at trying again some time soon so we will see how it goes

Cheers for the feedback

Interesting stuff. The quality is low, but the energy is there. The guitarist sounds impressive, the vocals are ok, and the drums are mental. Personally I think it's good though I'd make several points;

If you play live mostly then concentrate on getting it tight, then record yourselves playing together. There's no other way. The timing on the track didn't sound quite right, and from what you said it's probably because you recorded yourselves one at a time. Work out how to record yourselves simultaneously, and don't take no for an answer

The song is a bit limited. You could try diversifying things a bit. Put an unusual break in the middle. Bend bits around. Surprise people. There are no rules here dude, you can do what you want. Experiment!

There are many ways to make music. If you are fairly creative then try using a sequencer (like Cubase or Logic) to generate the music in the first place. Sample the drums and sort out a tempo track. Record the bass, guitars, vocals, etc, through an ADC connected to the PC. The advantage here is you can mess about with the track(s) in a very versatile way, even doing stuff that you can't do live. You may find you get a more creative result using a sequencer to arrange the track, and then getting the band to learn to play it, rather than the other way around. I'm not saying do it a certain way. But if you want to make good music, then try everything you can think of just to see if it gets you closer to where you want to go.

Hope that helps
