Default Cubase qeustion.....

I am fairly competent in beat programming - but i've never used Cubase in my life.

I'm good Reason and various other programs - however i'd like to get to grips with Cubase for studio reasons.

I've purchased the program a while back (good 6 months) but never had time to use it properly.

I was wondering whether anyone on the forum would like to give me a headstart in basically explaining how I can make a beat with cubase? How I can attach a sound to the correct midi channel?

the basic procedure? From then on i'm sure I could work the program out thouroughly!

I'm a bit silly as I was watching two producers make a beat and I was actually playing the 4/4 pattern in on keyboard but I didn't ask how he set it all up in Cubase.

Any help would be appreciated as i'd like to get going now..

any info on REASON vs CUBASE (together) would be appreciated - no in depth knowledge just a basic idea?

thanks very much

new to the forum - trek (ukg producer)

Start simple...ask me single questions and you're bound to get better/more answers

BTW, Cubase to Reason is a snap - use rewire...

What versions of each do you have? What OS are you running on?

Cool!
