Default Check This New Tune - Ruffness inna Dance!

My latest tune done with GNotorious from Boston...

We have never met in person...this was totally done over the internet

This is the preliminary mix in crap RealAudio.

it's a tempa kinda feel, so totally unlike most of the other stuff you've heard of mine...

http://www.mountaincable.net/~slim/juxtaposition.rm

All feedback is welcome and appreciated!

Note, anyone who may have heard it yesteday (PaulyC, Roley, Frampster, Alex, missc, etc.) this version has vocals! I forgot to include them in my last mixdown

silly me.

As chanchan says, I'm going senile.

Collaberating on a tune over the net = The Future

I like this, esp the intro, I'm not mad about the drop - the lead melody, but the beats and 'massive' sample are cool

And DC, what's not to feel about the bline/melody? Is it the notes or the sound or the vibe or all the above?

Let me know cause if I'm not shooting A&R guys with paint pellets, I may as well be impressing them with my musical skillz, seen?

Feeling the old-skool playground influences off the top. I keep expecting a verse from "Hard Times" or something to come out of nowhere. Not crazy about the main bassline sound around 1:30. It's just the patch, not the notes. Love the shaker-type sample. It's just the right amount of thickness to lift the main beat. The vocal manipulation is dead on. Nice work, as usual.

Geoff and I may try to touch up to basslines then...sounds like they're the main weakness in the tune - and that's not a great thing as basslines are kinda important

my pants smell like weed...just thought I'd let you all know that...

i'd like this. i'd pitch up the main drums a bit. not tempo wise but pitch wise
just the snare and hi hat. other wise it's not bad
