Default 5 NEW Tunes !!

Ok, here they are as promised, the sound quality is pretty good for me (Broadband), let me know how it sounds for u lot !!

5 Tunes about 2 minutes clips on each one, all instrumentals for the MC's to go mad on !

1. Grover - Very minimalistic, starts just before the drop and plays for a few bars, it changes up loads after the clip finishes, all the patterns changing all the time.

www.plasticman.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/grover.rm - paste into realplayer.

2. Annihilating Riddim - Again, minimalistic but with a stylish ethnic edge to it - a bit like a cross between Eskimo, I Love U and Snakecharmer all rolled into one.

http://www.plasticman.pwp.blueyonde...annihilating.rm - paste into realplayer.

3. Progress - a 4x4 breaky tune which changes, doubles up and includes about 6 different bass samples throughout - went a bit mad on this one to make sure the track didn't get boring the further it went in.

www.plasticman.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/progress.rm - paste into realplayer.

4. Worthless Riddim - It's called this cos quite frankly it's only just been started !! On a similar tip to annihilating riddim, but not as complex, and still with lots of work needed !

www.plasticman.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/worthless.rm - paste into realplayer.

5. Woah - a track with deep bass which overlaps a nice rolling 4 beat throughout, still very much under construction as this has only taken 2 hours of my precious time so far.

www.plasticman.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/woah.rm - paste into realplayer.

All comments much appreciated !!

Website sooncoming with loads of tracks and feedback forms so look out for that !

Hope u dont mind, some criticism to help u before pressing, rather than gettin ur arse licked:

Grover - Oh my days

An. Riddim - I liked the space built up in the intro, thru the reverb of the intro, quite atmospheric, altho not keen on the sounds used. Im not a fan of this genre so I werent keen on the rest.

Progress - Had a nice chilling pad for the intro. Bass is very simple. U need a better riff, more complex. ALso the break could do with swing and percussion cos its deadflat. Im not a fan of this genre so I werent keen on the rest.

worthless - I can hear I LOVE YOU influence in it. Intro had eastern feel. Again, I cant really comment.

woah - this is probably most musical of ur tunes so far..ok it was, it dropped and the bass riff is still simple and not developed. The break has some life in it but it still cud do with more or louder percussion.

Anyway, sorry I cudnt say more, jus returnin a favour really. This style of UKG is more popular than the stuff I like so u may go far. I think more shud be added to each tune. Have u started to compress ur breaks, bass? EQ them? etc, what mixdown are u gonna do b4 submitting?

I guess ur using fruity. dont use native samples or ul get sued for not having bought it.

Im in a parallel universe. Dont u think the tunes need finishing off tho? Harvey said some of them are in their early stages!

I like the I Love You type of tracks you've made Harley !!

But to me that is not what i would class as UK G beats - i would call em more Timberland like hip hop beats !!

Yeah mate - I'd never class this as UKG, but then again - what was the last big tune to come out which u could class as UKG ??

I think it's DJ Faz, the first one that came out on 4 Front records.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea - but i mould my productions around a base of a recent slammer - eg....

Grover - Musical Mob (Those bass samples are my own - i didn't rip them off pulse x !!)

Woah - Narrows "Dreams"

Progress - this was original, no real influence on it, the beats are on a Sirus - Red and Black tip though.

Worthless / Annihilating - as Naturel pointed out, I Love U was a big influence on these tracks, as were Snakecharmer by Menta, and Eskimo by Wiley.

I try to make them as dis-similar to the influences as possible - I think it's fair to say they are different enuff to be "My Sound", and not blatant rip-offs though - anyone else agree ??

AGUK - thanks for the constructive criticism, will take all of this into account !!

All tracks were made on Fruity for those asking.

Keep it coming guys, appreciate this a lot.
