First.....get up off your ass and go out and buy the new Blaze record if you haven't already. it's called "Breathe" Uplifting as a mofo....reminds me of EW&F meets high quality house. you want a real example of what Garage is....this is it.

other notables:

De Nuit - All That Mattered - oh man, this record is just lovely. it samples a classic 80's R&B tune "Love You Down." the track itself just moves along swiftly yet easily....gently driving. highly recommended.

Victor Davies - Runaway Train - this is just a slick deep meets jazzy house number, which is no surprise considering it's put out on the Jazznova/Compost label from germany. good old school sounding vocals...i think it's a remake of an older soul tune. you can rarely go wrong with jazznova.

Oscar G & Ralph Falcon (MURK) - Dark Beat - i finally heard this record.....and it's SICK.....deep murky tribal sickness from the masters of the style. i lost interest with these florida boys over the last few years and it's good to see them get back into the swamp and gettin dirty. this one's on Twisted

Jerry Ropero f/ Eve Winter - Nite & Day - sometimes i love a good US Influenced german house....and this record is a great example of why. it takes a good vocal, solid typical us house production, then adds some wonderful german bleepy kraftwerk synth elements to make you realize this $$$$ is not US. wonderful.

Thimo U Siedel - Just Another Mindless Disco Track - the title lies....it has a mind of it's own, and it has this ability to affect yours once you listen. i'm a sucker for that light quirky female vocal, and the vocal sample used here, pitched up just enough to tug at me....and light disco elements. no divas allowed here. another solid german record.

Hollis P Monroe - Dance The Night Away - hollis is a favorite of mine, and though is more disco oriented than i'm used to from him, it's a good thing. i expect deep stuff but this was a pleasant surprise. samples Inner City's Big Fun

Guarana - Vampiros En La Habana - for the fans of grant's Negrocan style of funky meets latin house.....solid record.

Liquid People presents Da Peepz - Our Way - another samba flavored track with a good uplifting female vocal....a bit more filtered and slick than the guarana track...more housey.

The Praise Cats f/ Andrea Love - Shined on Me - if you like gospel house, this one's great. nice long filtered build up....strong diva vocals.....heavy heavy tune.

Mike R Max - The Sneaker Freaks Club vol.1 - French goodies....eat em up yum....for fans of that throwback to old school styled house. see also playgroup

Monkey Bars - Fowl Play - just some cool ass funky house, but not so over the top...still soulful....dare i say, black funk. all in the horn lines...no strings and guitars....good stuff.
