Hit40UK is shelved Hit40UK is geseponeerd

Rumour has it that UK commercial radio stations are to drop the network chart Hit40UK this autumn to replace it with 3 brand new charts based on different music genres and appealing to different audiences. Het gerucht gaat dat de Britse commerciële radiostations zijn tot intrekking van de netwerk kaart Hit40UK dit najaar te vervangen door 3 nieuwe kaarten gebaseerd op verschillende muziekgenres en aantrekkelijk voor verschillende doelgroepen.

The three genres will be mainstream pop music, adult contemporary music and urban music, thus opening up three major sponsorship opportunities for the radio industry. De drie genres wordt mainstream popmuziek, volwassen hedendaagse muziek en stedelijke muziek, dus de openstelling van drie grote kansen voor de sponsoring van de radio-industrie.

With all the major commercial radio groups working closely together, Media Week suggests that the industry hopes to increase radio’s 7% share of listeners to 10% by 2010. Met alle grote commerciële radio-groepen nauw samen te werken, Media Week stelt dat de industrie hoopt te verhogen radio's 7% aandeel van de luisteraars tot 10% in 2010.
