 Thousands of people who thought they had secured tickets to Reading and Leeds music festival were told the next morning that their tickets had been cancelled. Despite weekend tickets for the event selling on in just a few hours, purchases were dealt with so quickly that problems with over 3,000 credit cards only came to light after the confirmations had gone out.
