God, this kind of stuff makes me feel old. Gott, diese Art von Zeug macht mich alt fühle. Is this really what kids listen to nowadays? Ist das wirklich das, was Kinder hören heute? At least Blink 182 (pre 'Enema Of The State') and NOFX had some soul, and wrote songs about things that really matter when you're young. 'Mammoth' is the second single to be taken from Interpol's third studio album, 'Our Love To Admire', and the title is an apt one, since the song itself is very big and sounds slightly out of date. It's really more of the same from Interpol; another large, wooly helping of their brand of critic-pleasing, generally inoffensive (apart from the 'f' words on the Explicit Radio Version) stadium rock that has recently bustled them out of obscurity and into the glare of the mainstream spotlight. Ah, the Klaxons. Ah, die Klaxons. They've been everywhere over the past year or so: what HASN'T been said about them?! Sie haben überall im vergangenen Jahr oder so: was nicht gesagt wurde über sie?! That they circumsize geese with shatter-proof rulers? Dass sie circumsize Gänse mit splittern-Nachweis Herrscher? That probably hasn't been said about them. Anyway, the track in question is called 'It's Not Over Yet' – a cover of the 90s dance hit by Grace – and, while it would not convince a new listener that the artists in question were (according to most music press) the most eclectic and revolutionary act to emerge over the last twelve months, it's still a very nice song. Taking into account the quality that Luciano has proved capable of in the past, this album is something of a disappointment. Unter Berücksichtigung der Qualität, dass Luciano hat sich der Lage in der Vergangenheit, dieses Album ist so etwas wie eine Enttäuschung.

Oxford-educated Mr Hudson and his group The Library have been making a lot of noise on the indie scene recently, and, with his penchant for increasingly diverse colloborations with people like Lethal B, he's attracting more fans all the time. Oxford ausgebildete Herr Hudson und seine Gruppe in der Bibliothek wurden eine Menge von Lärm auf die Indie-Szene vor kurzem, und mit seiner Vorliebe für die immer vielfältigeren colloborations mit Menschen wie Lethal B, er ist mehr Fans die ganze Zeit. 'Picture of You' is concrete proof of why his name is being flung around more and more at the moment. It's a wonderfully sombre love song, with Hudson's soft vocals perfectly countered by some sad and simple piano chords and bubbly snares that feel almost as if they'd be more at home under grime or garage. Es ist ein wunderbar düsteren Love Song, mit Hudson Soft's Gesang perfekt konterte durch einige traurige und einfache Klavier-Akkorde und Schampus Snares, dass fast das Gefühl, als ob sie würden mehr zu Hause unter Schmutz oder in der Garage.
